Unitopia has been certified by the Corporation for National and Community Service to award the Presidential Volunteer Service Award to volunteers that have supported our cause through education, advocacy, and inclusive practices.
The CNCS is a federal department to improve the status quo, communal living, and volunteerism. Through the support of Points of Light, another nonprofit platform for civic engagement, they have created programs including Senior Corps and Americorps to multiply the impact of volunteerism, one of the most effective ways to reach social causes in a cost-effective manner. CNCS is a federal agency that has created many programs for the purpose of empowering citizens’ to contribute to improving the current situation and fortifying the concept of communities. Functioning with the support of Points of Light, a nonprofit and corporation platform for community service and volunteer work, CNCS have created programs including Senior Corps, 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, and Social Innovation Fund.
The PVSA is given according to the number of service hours a US citizen or permanent resident has accumulated over the course of a 12-month or lifetime period. Depending on age and size of involvement, PVSA-seeking individuals are required to meet a minimum requirement of hours. Unitopia’s certified organization status allows us to distribute priceless awards, pins, medallions, and letters signed by the President of the United States at the time of signing.
Unitopia would be nothing without its volunteers. The arms of our organization all depend on volunteers in order to reach hundreds of families across the world. We hope to recognize the efforts of our volunteers and their dedication to our organization!
