Over the past year, Unitopia has been working on our Training and Curriculum Development Initiative to support caregivers, parents and educators across the world with an extensive compilation of resources, circumstance-based experiences, and personalized strategies to support neurodivergent children.
Our work consists of guides for each of the 13 conditions defined under the United States’ Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). These guides include the specific condition’s signs, challenges, strategies, and much more information to support families, individuals, caregivers, and organizations across the globe.
Throughout the editing process, our volunteers reached out to educators, field professionals, non-profit organizations and other interested entities to provide suggestions and edit our publications. We hold our work to the highest standards and ensure accuracy and relevance in our guides as they leave substantial impacts internationally.
We have provided these guides to more than 250 families in Uganda and Kenya through our partnership with Viagenco and Angel’s Center for Children with Special Needs.
You can check out our initiative here! In the coming weeks, we will be revitalizing our webpages to include more information, including our recently published Autism Spectrum Condition guide.
If you would like to contribute suggestions and recommendations, please contact us and we would love to hear from you.
